Lapine’s and Sondheim’s fairytale musical may begin with “Once upon a time” but will leave the viewer wondering if it truly ends “happily ever after.”  Into the Woods follows familiar characters Little Red Ridinghood, Jack, Rapunzel, and Cinderella as they encounter a humble Baker and his wife, seeking to "get their wish" in the face of wolves, scheming princes, giants, and an especially violent flock of birds.  As these characters journey into the woods, they explore morality and relationships, and question the sharpness of the line between right and wrong.  The brilliant lyrics and catchy themes are timeless and will lead the audience through the woods all the way to the final "I wish."
